We came to San Francisco, we wandered over to Union Square, and we said 'yep, this feels like our next home'. Then we shipped 195 of our ginormous beds (we don't go anywhere without them) and stacked them just two blocks away at 72 Ellis Street. Are you coming over? We are already fluffing your pillows.

For that one iconic location – Golden Gate Bridge. Everyone will ask 'have you seen it?' and so you simply must. It takes up to two hours to walk across the bridge and back, admiring the views on both sides along the way. Bring a hat, camera, sunglasses and snacks. Once you get there, send a classic 'wish you were here' message to everyone you know.

For baked goods buffs – Dutch crunch bread. As a proudly Dutch company, we simply can't avoid mentioning our namesake, which coincidentally also appears on every 'must eat in San Francisco' list. Where to buy? Closest to our hotel – at Bite. Most famous in the city – at Roxie Food Center. Enjoy, you're welcome.

For an Asian experience – Chinatown. Enter through the Dragon's Gate on Grant Avenue and find yourself in the oldest and largest Chinatown in all of North America. Come to shop, eat, take photos, people-watch... just make sure to take it slow and enjoy the atmosphere. Great to know – it's just a 10-minute walk from our hotel.
